CNY 2009 part 2

27th Jan:
Went to my aunt's house from my mother's side.

After a while, went back to cousin's house to meet up before going to watch the movie Inkheart at Jurong Point. Almost full, again. What's with people and watching movies during CNY season?

13 tickets altogether. We were seated in 2 rows.

Inkheart is quite nice, in my opinion. Then again, I didn't read the book beforehand. So, I'm not really in the position to say anything. Hmm, maybe, I will read the trilogy someday.

One thing for sure is, Inkheart isn't Twilight for younger kids. This is most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. What, now suddenly, every movie is being compared with Twilight!? Stupid media and their shallow-thinking. Twilight is not comparable to any other movie unless that movie has vampires that sparkle and drive fast and expensive cars.

Went for dinner at a restaurant in Jurong Point. The food was ok, although my cousins and brothers didn't seem to enjoy it.

28th Jan:
Went for French class for less than an hour and returned home. Wasted my time. I woke up at 5.45am.

Booked tickets for Red Cliff 2 at Golden Village at North Point. The theater was almost full.

Red Cliff 2 is a nice movie. Make me curious about the whole book series and history of China. Hoping to watch Red Cliff next time. Maybe, I will go and borrow the DVD or something.

It's 2 hours plus, long movie.

*No. We are not praying or doing the whistle-thingy.
13 tickets for Inkheart.
What a treat, for us and for the box office.

CNY 2009

25th Jan:
Had our steamboat reunion dinner at cousin's house. It was great, as usual. There were slices of abalone, fish, meat, fishballs, squid, prawns, vegetables, etc. We had 2 steamboats, one for the 'adults', one for the 'Cullenists', to quote my cousin. Except that only 3 of us are Cullenists.

Drank sparkling fruit juice and apple cider afterwards.

Countdown at home and slept at about 1am.

26th Jan:
The 1st day of CNY. Bathed, wore "new" clothes, and went visiting.

I don't understand how a lot of people don't like visiting their relatives. Well, probably because they hated the awkward questions asked and all. But my side of relatives, they don't do all that.

The best part about CNY, besides from the goodies and flowers, is the wearing nice clothes and accessories. In how many occasions in the year can I wear those?

My father asked me to wear my knee-high boots but I don't want to. It looks weird with my silver dress. Even he thought so.

There weren't many houses to visit anyway.

Went my cousin's house afterwards.

We were thinking of watching Red Cliff 2 in the theater at night. I didn't think there was a need to book tickets as the movie was already out for a long time and at the timing, not many people will go watch it.

Guess what? I checked online and all tickets were sold out. What the... I can't believe that my calculations were wronged. Those that want to watch it would have done so when it was 1st released.

PS: Don't feel like going back to school. The mere thought of that makes my mood for the day blue. How is it that it can be fun for 2 days then went back to school for the next?

Fun days

Yesterday we went to Far East Flora to "see" and buy flowers. Almost had to leave due to the sheer number of cars and lack of parking lots. Luck was on our side though.

Went to the "Cold Room" where the cut flowers are kept. It's really cold. I was almost overwhelmed by the kinds and flowers and leaves in there. If you don't know me yet, I love flowers very much, particularly wild flowers and roses. It's practically every flower's enthusiast dream. Next time, I'm going for flower arrangement course.

So many different kinds of exotic and pretty flowers. The prices were not too bad, as in quite high for my liking.

In the end, we bought bright yellow and red tulips with tiny white wild flowers for the decor. Tulips and roses are the only flowers that are more brightly coloured.

As such, many people were attached to tulips and bought them in bunches. Unfortunately, tulips don't last long. I envy those who bought lots of flowers. I wanted to buy a lot too.

Bought potted flowers and plants next. I think we bought narcissus, some unknown flowering bulbs, and 2 potted flowers.

At least, my bad mood for the day subsided because of this. I'll put pictures of the flower arrangement tomorrow.

Love it! I'm still fascinated by the way the tiny white flowers grow. I still gushed about how cute it is.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today, went for Business Accounting 2 make-up lecture. Not many from my class turned up.
In the evening, went to Orchidville near Mandai. But, we didn't bought any flowers there.
I suggested going to Night Safari. Just on the outside though. I wanted to buy a wolf plush toy. Most unfortunately, there's a range of lions to cheetahs to tigers but NO wolves. Not even one! What is this!?
Between zoo and night safari, I thought that in Night Safari, I would have a better shot at luck.
Very disappointed. I bought a leopard keychain in the end. It was cute, but it's no wolf, that's for sure. Oh well...
Had some drinks while enjoyed the free-show. Night Safari has changed a lot, but of course, it's been ages since I last went there. Singaporeans have to support made-in-Singapore products right?
Like my mother said, if she is a tourist, she would buy a glow-in-the-dark T-shirt in Night Safari.
PS: My friend helped me bought a silver wolf charm from ebay. Thanks very much! How to return her money remains to be seen. That's the furthest I can get from the wolf charm on Bella's bracelet.
If given a choice and a variety in front of me, I would buy at least 2. One as handphone charm and the other as a bracelet charm.
Ramblings
Had Business Statistics test today. It was OK, in general. I stumbled over a question and thought of the answer for a long time before answering.
The teacher said I did one part wrongly though. Really stupid and careless mistake. Sigh...
Yes, this week is finally over! Passed up our MacroEcons project. It's very beautiful. Feeling more relaxed although there's marketing project left.
Aside from tomorrow's Business Accounting make-up lecture, the weekend looks to be great. I'm wishing this Chinese New Year to be wonderful.
But for whatever reasons, I'm feeling rather depressed. Mood swings or just plain depression? It's like I'm not part of the festive joy at all. Always looking from the outside.
Later I'm going to Far East Flora to "see" and buy flowers.
I saw some pretty awesome taglines for New Moon on http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1259571/taglines
Personally, I like the one 'Forbidden to Remember; Terrified to Forget' and 'When you can’t be with the one you love, will you stay with the one who loves you?' I also like the one 'The Cullens are not the only family with a secret'. Hint hint. Very mysterious and dark. Lovely.
The others are great too. What wonderful ideas to work on my next series of banners.
'Somewhere the clock is ticking' I can just feel the anticipation and tension. Ticking to the release of New Moon movie, time is wasting away, time washes away as you fight for the one you love. Very angst: the theme for New Moon.
Well well, I need time. I want to work on the banners.
OB presentation & BA2 test
Had OB presentation yesterday. Our group wore jeans and collar-shirts. We had to do a role-play too.
Laughed as usual. The role play was on the 5 stages of group development and we linked it to basketball. We went for the humour effect and ended up laughing. It was quite great, I think. Although, in the midst, we did missed a part or two.
The presentation went quite well. Apparently, I spoke too fast.
Studied for BA2 night test. The topics are actually easy, even I think it's ridiculous for me to get so worried over it. But, maybe, it's the brain or something that is wrong. I'll automatically repelled BA.
Memorised the formats and some theory while chatting with friends. We had about 3 hours + to go before the test.
My friend, her friend and I went for French lecture but came out half an hour later because we were falling asleep.
7.20 pm came. Wished each other good luck and started reading the questions. It was easy, like that in the mock test. There's a saying that mock test and the actual test are 2 different things though.
I did the Cash Flow Statement 1st. The operating activities went well. But I can't balanced the investing and financing activities sections. I knew what I did wrong and it was almost a stupid mistake if not the fact that my brain can't twist.
The other mistake I know of is the P&L Appropriation Statement. Another stupid mistake. I put the salary part in it, but because I can't balance the statement, I took it out. It was supposed to be there. What the...
Anyway, I tried my best and the mistakes will probably only cost me a few marks. I'm aiming for a B or B+. At least, this test will be better than my mid-semester test.
Today's French culture quiz 2 was OK. I did not know 2 questions though. Worked on our upcoming role-play too.
Countdown to CNY: 4 days (3 days before having reunion dinner)
Looking forward for CNY!
Father's birthday
Celebrated my father's birthday at Jack's Place at Causeway Point on 17th Jan. Had grilled boneless chicken with fries.
Got me thinking on where I want to go for my birthday. I think it's either Swensens or Jack's Place. I miss the grilled sambal fish and fries from Swensens.
Went shopping at Metro and then got myself a Levi's jeans. There is a promotion going on, exchange old jeans of any brand for a $50 off for Levi's jeans. It's quite a good deal actually. Levi's jeans are great, softer and smoother than normal jeans. So, I can't grow fat or else, the money would be wasted.
Bought clothes for my brothers too. I saw a nice dress but it is expensive. Anyway, I already have enough clothes to wear during CNY, so no use buying more clothes.
Had dessert at Gelare. I shared the waffle and ice-cream with my father.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Entering the final week to CNY.

There's this feeling inside me. Maybe it's because of the festive mood around, mixed with the anxiety of upcoming tests, that's creating this weird feeling.

Updates

Was doing various projects. Marketing is really a killer.

Regarding the week, I got back my French listening and writing tests. Woo, I'm very happy I did well. 38/40 for writing and 18/20 for listening. Now, all's left is one more culture quiz and a 30% role play. With any luck, I can get an A for my French.

Handed up the OB project. Really thankful for that.

Next week will be tough, the torturous week before Chinese New Year.

On Monday, there's project consultation for Marketing and rehearsing for OB presentation.

On Tuesday, BA2 night test at 7.20 pm and before that, OB presentation.

On Wednesday, French culture quiz.

On Friday, Business Stats In-class assignment.

Chinese New Year is coming, I can't believe it. It's so fast. I want to go back to my secondary school but alas, my class end at 4pm.

I'm still looking for a wolf charm. I actually saw one on ebay, but the bidding time ran out. Today, I saw another, I think I'm going to ask my friend to help me buy it. No use waiting for another chance to come along. Unless, I saw one in a shop, here in Singapore that is not too expensive.

Oh well...

Something

Hahaha, I was told by someone that I talk or rather write like a grown-up. Won't say by who or from where. Just a certain website...

C'mon people, I'm only 17.

Seriously, it made me laughed. Do I really sound like that?

I know by most standards, the way I write or express myself is quite "grown up-ish". Not many teenagers write like that. But the way I talk is another matter altogether.

Anyway, I'm not offended by this. Quite flattered actually. Haha. But at the same time, makes me feel a little sheepish.

As if I don't belong to the category of 'teenagers'. Guess I upset the balance of stereotyping.

Thoughts

It's been chilly lately. It's really windy too.

If only there's snow...

I can't wait for Chinese New Year! But, before that, there are many obstacles to pass.

Projects need to be handled up soon. Still on track, I think.

March huh? Can't wait for the Twilight DVD to come to Singapore! I'm going to buy it straight away, as a collectible. The chances are, I won't be watching it too often.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To be truthful, I can hardly stand Robert Pattinson's face. Guess I belong in the small minority of fans who don't like him.
But, my tolerance for him has grown since the second time I watched Twilight.
About another thing, I'm Team Edward and Team Taylor. I'm aware that there are 5 teams now: Team Edward, Team Jacob, Team Switzerland, Team Taylor and Team Robert.
I was on Team Edward at 1st. But along came Taylor Lautner who plays Jacob. I guess I can be considered Team Switzerland now. I still leaning towards Edward though.
But I'm definitely Team Taylor. I don't like Pattinson. Period. So, on screen I'll be supporting Taylor while on the books, it's Edward and all the other characters.
*Speaking of characters here*
Given a choice, I will choose Edward over Jacob. Not because he's rich and good-looking. But because his personality suits mine better. I'm not a fun person to be with, not an extrovert, etc. Jacob will probably be bored to tears. But having the above criteria do helps, albeit a little. Not to mention, Edward is sensitive and a thinker, which is like me.
Also, I like "old-fashioned". I think my taste of music will clashed with his though. Come to think of it, I've not met a person who shares the same taste of music as mine, which is "oldies", 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s music hits.
However, there's a saying that says 'people with the same personalities will clashed with each other.' Maybe I need someone to balance me out. 'Like a personal sun to chase away the clouds.'
With either of them, if I'm the imprinted or "soul mate", then I guess nothing else really matters.
Yeah, I'm putting this entry on the thread on twilightlexiconblog.com.
It's a wolf thing
I'm looking for a wolf charm. Examples are as above.
I've already enlisted the help of my friend in USA to help me look and get one. Apparently, wolves are not popular in many countries. I've tried, although not my best, to look for one on Singapore.
Aren't they the cutest? OMG, I want one to cuddle!
I'm getting a bear and a wolf plush toy soon. I want a trip down to the Zoo or Night Safari. Just to the gift shop, then I can get one, I hope. I should have a better chance at Night Safari. Hmm...
Wolves are so cute and nice! I've a small, pink octopus by the name of Mr Squid and a small dinosaur by the name of Mr Dinosaur. They are supposed to be attached to key chains.
When I got them, the bear is going to be called Emmy (short for Emmett) and the wolf, (Jacob?).
*Lame post, but whatever*
Hotmail is problematic
Did some project work and worked on my newest series of banners.
The problem was that hotmail can't be access, again. I don't know what's going on, but hotmail is one big trouble lately. It's been 3 days.
I can sign in, but that's the furthest I can go. No clicking and sending of emails. Many times, I wanted to change to another e-mail, however, easier said than done. I'll have to inform all my contacts and all my old emails will be not with me. Also, I don't know if yahoo and google are reliable. I've used yahoo mail to send something, but my father didn't received it.
At least, hotmail is reliable. But, it's trouble with the letter 'T'.
Hate hotmail!
New Changes
I changed the heading into a banner. Loved the effect but still needs some improvements to it.
A pity that, that's the biggest size I can use.
More ridiculous rumours
After barely getting onto the right track, we are off again.
And I told myself that I would cut down on the "essays" written...
This time, it's Brenda Song and Vanessa Hudgens from Disney rumoured to be casting for the role of Leah Clearwater and/or the Quiluete tribe.
I may like them in HSM and other Disney shows but they are not suitable at all in playing a role in New Moon. Seriously.
I enjoy HSM but the Twilight saga holds a special place in my heart. It's like my first love. This is completely different from watching any interesting movie and liking it. That's why I'm so extremely opinionated. Normally, I'm pretty alright with stuff.
I'm sure Hudgens and Song are talented and will be sought after, but I'm hoping not to New Moon or the subsequent Eclipse and Breaking Dawn movies. Well maybe as an extra or calefare. I'd rather have unknown actors/actresses casting for the roles, like many other fans.
Besides, both of them do not look one bit like Native American. At least, Taylor Lautner has Native American blood running through him. Song is part Asian while Hudgens is of mixed.
I like Leah as a minor character. I can understand what she went through and sympathise with her. (I started liking her during Breaking Dawn). She's bitter and feeling unjust about her life. An actress who is Native American and able to portray her feelings and physically look like her will be perfect.
There are plenty of Native Americans out there. Why not look for them? I'm also sure their salary will not be as high as Disney actresses.
I'm thinking this is highly a rumour, just to test us Twilighters again. Will Summit be able to afford their salaries? I don't think so. Given the budget for New Moon movie, I don't think there's a high chance of acquiring either of them. We should be quite safe.
It's funny to read all those "bad feelings", skewed results, negative perception of the actresses. I do feel quite sorry for them. They don't deserve this, after all.
But I do agree, this is not their field or 'territory'. New Moon movie is not made to attract Hudgens/Song fans or more specially, Disney fans. It has a secure fan-base of its own. Fans do not want people watching the movie just because somebody famous is in it.
It doesn't matter if my opinion don't change anything. It makes me feel better in the heart when I write all my thoughts out.
I hope all these stupid rumours will eased. I have just barely recovered from hyperventilating and now, they present us with more ridiculous stuff.
Anyway, hoping that the Volturi will be cast first. So excited to know the results.
Updates
To update on the more mundane aspect of my life.
Received my marketing and MacroEcons marks. I got a 33/50 for Marketing and 96.5/100 for MacroEcons.
Marketing marks was expected. What can I expect when I just studied on the day itself? Moreover, Marketing is not my cup of tea.
MacroEcons came as a surprise. I really did not foresee that. I was still thinking I got this question and that question wronged. Wow, if I can keep this up for end-semester exam, it'll be great.
Chinese New Year is coming. But before that, there are many obstacles to pass. Projects to hand in, tests to be completed, etc.
Today and 9th and 10th is TP's open house. One year had past since I went for the open house in 2008.
Anyway, my friends and I were joking about pretending to be Secondary school students. We went to visit the other schools' diploma courses. We got mistaken for Secondary school students for a few times. There were so many people about.
Today is a great day. Taylor Lautner is staying on! Looking forward to seeing him protraying Jacob in New Moon. It will be just fine.
Christ Weitz, thank you for letting Lautner stay. You make the obvious choice. Thank you to Stephenie Meyer too. For thinking Lautner will be a perfect Jacob.
Cheers.
Taylor Lautner is staying!!
Taylor Lautner is staying as Jacob!!!
Should I say OME! at a time like this? Or just OMG!, the good, old fashion way?
*Does happy dance*
It's seriously the best news since the whole fiasco started!
I was checking out www.twilightlexiconblog.com when one comment was that Stephenie Meyer updated her website, comfirming that Lautner will be staying on.
I immediately checked it out. And Voila, it was true!
I was nearly breathless when I read the news. Now, I can breathe a sign of relief and go to school, happy on the inside.
I shared the good news with my cousin right away, posting on her blog and facebook.
Taylor Lautner, looking forward to seeing you in New Moon.
Taylor Lautner must stay!
This is old news but they bought it up recently, and it caught my attention once again.
Will Taylor Lautner stay on as Jacob? That is the big question that is in many fans' minds. Nearly 3 weeks since Lautner had lunch with director Christ Weitz on whether he'll be staying on.
Why don't Summit or anyone gives the good news or drop the bombshell on fans is another big question. I like to quote one fan who said this, "The longer the silence, the more lethal it could become." How very true.
As long as one day pass without any confirmation, it's only going to get worst. Unless, all the fans suddenly develop memory loss, there's no way that we will forget the day Summit presented us with the bad news.
The whole Twilight fandom was in a uproar and still is. By dragging the whole matter, it's akin to waiting for the an earthquake or tsunami to hit.
For me, first and foremost, keep Taylor Lautner. Sure. I do care about details. However, at this point in time and journey, I don't care about details that much anymore. Who cares if Ashley Greene is not as short and tiny as Alice should have been? Who cares if Kellan Lutz don't have curls like Emmett should have? I'm sure even fewer people care about Robert Pattinson not being as perfect and looking 17 years old as Edward should have. Don't even let me go into the plot of the movie. Way too many details were not being subjected into consideration. If fans could deal with these, I don't see the problem in dealing with Lautner not being as tall and bulky as Jacob should have been.
One reason why some fans want Lautner to stay on is because they dislike changes of major characters in movies, especially in the sequels. One part of why I want Lautner to stay is due to this. It is just like changing Pattinson for some other actor for the role of Edward. I don't understand how some people can't see the connection here.
If Summit says they want to stick as true as possible to the book by changing Lautner, work on the script instead. Even then, Jacob is about 6'7, so unless Summit is going to find an actor of that height...
There is a minority of fans that will boycott New Moon movie if they change Lautner. They may be in the minority part, but every fan counts, doesn't it? Say, if 10 fans boycott the movie, it'll lead to a chain-effect because they are the ones who influence their family and friends to watch. In the end, it is not as easy as that 10 people not contributing.
Some fans are afraid that Summit will do away with Eclipse and a possible Breaking Dawn movie if they don't make enough for New Moon. The truth is, they are not that stupid to jeopardise their "gold mine". Should they throw away that good opportunity, there are other studios out there waiting to snatch the rights. Thus, Summit will make Eclipse and a possible Breaking Dawn movie.
Ultimately, fans are the ones who contribute and promote the movie. If Summit don't know that, good luck to them. It was said that 90% of the fans want Taylor Lautner to stay. Summit should take note of what fans want when making their decisions. I'm not saying that what fans say or want will always be correct and just.
Seems like this week the results will be out. Wow, I'm excited about that. Keeping my fingers crossed for Taylor Lautner. I really want him to stay. He has the potential to continue playing Jacob.
I almost chocked when I saw the news update today. Soon, I guess. There's only 4 days left of this week. I'm going to have a heart-attack either way. It'll be either breathing a sign of relief or coping with the discontentment.
Team Taylor! Because he made me come to love Jacob over the weeks/months.
Carlisle Cullen
So, I was looking for some pictures on Peter Facinelli as Carlisle on the web to make banners for my cousin, and I was liked Whoa! when I saw his face up close.
Haha, he's really good-looking. Peter Facinelli makes the perfect Carlisle. Gah, good-looking doesn't even cover what he's like.
Anyway, I was surfing the message boards in www.twilightlexiconblog.com, and I went to the Team Carlisle thread. Makes me Team Carlisle again.
Carlisle is the perfect 'person', always compassion, always kind, never get off-track of his own beliefs, using his "gifts" to help his patients, the father figure to Edward and others, the creator of Edward, Esme, Rosalie and Emmett. Without him as the anchor, Alice and Jasper would have become monsters.
I admire his strength of will, unwavering faith, undying compassion, his love to his wife and "children".
Carlisle Cullen : Pefection like never before.
Ramblings about Twilight
Posting this entry because I felt like it.
I don't understand all this feminism stuff going around Twilight. Maybe, it's just a Western thing, or more specifically, a US thing.
Can't anyone enjoy a good, romance and action novel for once? Why drag all these unnecessary stuff into it? Has the author's religion or the character being perceived as anti-feminist got to do with how good a book is? Perhaps it's due to the fact that I'm living in Singapore, where given my background, I have no care for things like that.
Notice how I said novel and book. Twilight do not belong to the 'great literature' column. Despite that, it brings me great pleasure and memories compared to those great literature works. It's fuss-free and entertaining with great plot and complicated and relatable characters.
If Twilight is seen as anti-feminism, aren't countless of romance novels out there the same? All those helpless females, the damsels-in-distress, waiting for their love to rescue them? Aren't they even "worst" than Bella in a way? Why only attacked Twilight? Doesn't the books and author deserves credit?
It's a good series to escape into. Into the world of true love and mythical creatures. That's why it sells and appeals. Who wants to read about angst and hurt when the world is already such a difficult place to live in? That's also why it attracts attention, both positive and negative, like moths to light. No one has ever written such enthralling book series about vampires before. And even that, not one about teenagers or preventing themselves from being monsters.
I don't even read vampires novels before Twilight. After Twilight, I give up on finding vampire novels. The truth is, I will compare it and then it won't be fair to the new book.
Because I don't understand the gist of feminism, I can't make any comments about it. But, it's getting on my nerves once in a while. Just because a female reads about romance and all that doesn't makes her anti-feminist. It's the way one sees herself.
Anyway, I love Twilight saga. One thought, if those people see themselves as feminists, why pick up Twilight in the first place? Sometimes, I don't understand how some people can set double-standards.
If you dislike something, then don't have anything to do with it. Quit criticising and commenting on it too. There are countless of fiction and non-fiction books out there. Pick one that suits you instead of whining how you hate something because the ideas addressed contrast with yours.
Ok, got to quit ranting too. It's good to let it all out, or I'll be not be able to sleep.
To me, it's very simple. It's fiction and I like to escape into the world of Twilight. No big deal should be made out of it. But because it has received so much negative comments lately, I want to stand up for it.
I know what some people are going to say, it's just a book, what's the big deal?
PS: All thoughts and comments here are mine. My stand is clear, I'm with Twilight saga and Stephenie Meyer, but other than that, I tried to be as non-offensive as possible.
Brother's bday
Celebrated my brother's birthday yesterday. 13 years old and in Secondary 1. Time sure pass.
Went to Causeway Point's Seoul Garden to have dinner. The birthday boy made the decision. I don't really like it though, makes you smell when you came out.
Did some Chinese New Year shopping at Cold Storage. We bought quite a lot of "snacks" for Chinese New Year. Bought BBQ Pork at Bee Cheng Hiang too. It's better to buy it now then to wait because the price will increase as CNY approaches.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Have a lot of new ideas or improved ideas for Twilight banners. All I need is find the time to do them. Well, I like doing them.

Not really any Twilight-related news to put here.

Outing with friends and mid-semester marks

Went out with 4s3 friends yesterday. Met at Yo Chu Kang MRT station and went to Sakura buffet first. But, since the buffet closes at 3pm, and some guys were still not there, we changed location.

Walked all the way to Ang Mo Kio, my feet were aching really badly. Went to Suki Sushi, however, there was no buffet available because it was a public holiday. Walked to Ang Mo Kio hub to try Ichiban Sushi, but also no buffet available.

Headed down to New York New York in the end. Wow, the food there is quite expensive. Shared a seafood platter with my other two girl friends. Didn't finished it though.

Chatted about our school lives and such. Went to Arcade, we didn't play though.

Although it was just us 3 girls, with the guys, it was still great. We hardly get to see each other after all.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Got back my mid-semester results today. Got 45/50 for Business Statistics, 34/45 for Business Accounting 2 and 22.5/30 for Organisation Behaviour.
Quite happy for my OB marks. So many things to memorise but still make it.
I should be content with my marks for Business Accounting 2 but I can't help feeling a little disappointed too. My aim is to get at least 70% for the paper. I got 68%. I've no idea why I reject BA from the moment I see it. It can't be the numbers, can it? Regardless, I don't have that high expectations for BA2.
Business Statistics marks cheered me up. Got to keep it there. It's my hope, together with MacroEcons.
Next week, we will be getting back Marketing and MacroEcons papers. I'm worry for the both of them, especially Marketing.
New Year: 2009
A very Happy New Year to everyone!
Watched Ellen Degeneres show at 4.30 pm yesterday. Robert Pattinson was interviewed, so I thought I should watch it. I accepted that he's part of the Twilight phenomenal now, although I still don't like him as Edward.
Anyway, his real voice is quite great actually. So, I don't know why he speaks so funnily during the movie. I heard that it's because he tried to change his British accent to American.
Went to airport at night. After my father reached, we went to Tosto to have drinks. Reached home just in time for the countdown, and to see the fireworks over the distance at Marina.
Wishing 2009 to be great~
PS: 1st post for year 2009! I just realised it when I saw the archive. Woohoo!
