3 cheers to me!
Received my Semester 1.2 results today. Holy crow!
Shockingly, I got B+ for Marketing. Woah, what was that? I was still praying, "Not C".
B for OB and Accounting 2. What can I say? I deserved that grade, no more, no less. My accounting skills are atrocious, not to mention, I've been so careless. As for OB, there's nothing much to say.
A for Business Statistics and MacroEconomics. I'm happy and if I get anything less, I might just go and bang my head on the wall. Both are my "pet" subjects and I expect myself to do well in them.
Z for French! Now, that's something to cheer about! I'm really, really pleased with it. I know I'm going to get A, but a distinction, never. I dreamt about it but didn't have much confidence that I will get it.
My GPA for Semester 1.2 is 3.56. Oh well, a little far off from 3.7 in Semester 1.1. Overall, I'm happy and nearly screamed when I saw the grades. That's how glad I am.
PS: Taking French was the best thing that happened to me. I love the language and in return, give me a good grade.

OB end-semester exam
Done with OB.
It was a killer. So now, OB stands for Obviously Bu******.
I can't say I never tried my best, neither can I say I tried my best. Obviously I can study it better or concentrate better, but at least I sort of did my best.
I forgot some things here and there. The MCQs were so difficult. I'm always left with 2 choices, both seemed right, it's just which one is more correct than the other. Argh...
I totally forgot what is the strategies to solve conflict and 3 situational factors that affect a leader's behaviour. The latter which I did not study at all.
Ah well, it's gone. I won't have to touch OB again. I was so angry that I have a mind to tear the paper. The best thing is, I won't have to see my answers. At least, there is some consolation to this mess.
Goodbye OB, we ended at a sour note. *There goes my chance of acquiring an A. I hope my B/B+ is still intact.*
Business Statistics tomorrow. It should be well. But I dare not think positive, or else it will be jinxed.

Updates
OK, I had a good time in school but I'm in a sort of bad mood now.
I've no idea why though.
Whatever, it's so near to sleeping time so I'll just sleep the bad mood away. Tomorrow will be another day.
Got back my MacroEcons and OB coursework grades today. I'm very happy for MacroEcons because I got an A. Woohoo! That was also the project I spent the most effort in. So, the efforts paid off and it was sweeter than others. My friends who are in my group, too, got A for their coursework. 40% an A, 60% to go.
OB was great, too. Our project was 87/100. Not too bad. I got an A for coursework. Yay! Now, I really must work hard for OB end semester exam. I can have a chance to get an A. 50% more to go. OME!
For Marketing coursework, I had an B. 50% to go for end-semester. I don't have high expectations for Marketing but needless to say, the lowest I can get is a B.
Hoping to get back French result tomorrow. High expectations for it.
Watched Les Choristes in the library with my friend today. Wow, I never thought that the school library is actually so up-to-date. I'll surely make use of the facilities next time.
Anyway, I borrowed the tape, have to return it on Friday though. The bad thing about borrowing tapes from school library is the lack of borrowing time. 3 days for DVDs, a little too short to my liking. But, it'll be efficient.
My friend borrowed the soundtrack. Hoping to be able to burn it.
Watched the second part of The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. Actually, I can't really see why it can get so many awards. But, I enjoyed it all the same.
I've no idea why though.

OB presentation & BA2 test
Had OB presentation yesterday. Our group wore jeans and collar-shirts. We had to do a role-play too.
Laughed as usual. The role play was on the 5 stages of group development and we linked it to basketball. We went for the humour effect and ended up laughing. It was quite great, I think. Although, in the midst, we did missed a part or two.
The presentation went quite well. Apparently, I spoke too fast.
Studied for BA2 night test. The topics are actually easy, even I think it's ridiculous for me to get so worried over it. But, maybe, it's the brain or something that is wrong. I'll automatically repelled BA.
Memorised the formats and some theory while chatting with friends. We had about 3 hours + to go before the test.
My friend, her friend and I went for French lecture but came out half an hour later because we were falling asleep.
7.20 pm came. Wished each other good luck and started reading the questions. It was easy, like that in the mock test. There's a saying that mock test and the actual test are 2 different things though.
I did the Cash Flow Statement 1st. The operating activities went well. But I can't balanced the investing and financing activities sections. I knew what I did wrong and it was almost a stupid mistake if not the fact that my brain can't twist.
The other mistake I know of is the P&L Appropriation Statement. Another stupid mistake. I put the salary part in it, but because I can't balance the statement, I took it out. It was supposed to be there. What the...
Anyway, I tried my best and the mistakes will probably only cost me a few marks. I'm aiming for a B or B+. At least, this test will be better than my mid-semester test.
Today's French culture quiz 2 was OK. I did not know 2 questions though. Worked on our upcoming role-play too.
Countdown to CNY: 4 days (3 days before having reunion dinner)

Outing with friends and mid-semester marks
Went out with 4s3 friends yesterday. Met at Yo Chu Kang MRT station and went to Sakura buffet first. But, since the buffet closes at 3pm, and some guys were still not there, we changed location.
Walked all the way to Ang Mo Kio, my feet were aching really badly. Went to Suki Sushi, however, there was no buffet available because it was a public holiday. Walked to Ang Mo Kio hub to try Ichiban Sushi, but also no buffet available.
Headed down to New York New York in the end. Wow, the food there is quite expensive. Shared a seafood platter with my other two girl friends. Didn't finished it though.
Chatted about our school lives and such. Went to Arcade, we didn't play though.
Although it was just us 3 girls, with the guys, it was still great. We hardly get to see each other after all.

Got back my mid-semester results today. Got 45/50 for Business Statistics, 34/45 for Business Accounting 2 and 22.5/30 for Organisation Behaviour.
Quite happy for my OB marks. So many things to memorise but still make it.
I should be content with my marks for Business Accounting 2 but I can't help feeling a little disappointed too. My aim is to get at least 70% for the paper. I got 68%. I've no idea why I reject BA from the moment I see it. It can't be the numbers, can it? Regardless, I don't have that high expectations for BA2.
Business Statistics marks cheered me up. Got to keep it there. It's my hope, together with MacroEcons.
Next week, we will be getting back Marketing and MacroEcons papers. I'm worry for the both of them, especially Marketing.

Mid-semester tests: OB, & 8th quote
Today's OB is, how should I put it in a non-offensive way? not very good.
I read the case study questions 1st, and this question that is so "easy" stared at me. "Define personality". My mind was a total blank. In the end, I remembered part of the definition. Then, I forgot some of the personal attributes. I can only remembered self-esteem, locus of control, personality type A & B. Luckily, the evidence inside the case study was within these boundaries.
The 2nd case study question was about 5-step OB Mod programme. I had this feeling it will be out before the test, so I focus a little on it. I hoped that at least I can scored for this question.
MCQs were tricky. I think up till now, I had 3 mistakes, which means 7 marks.
Anyway, I got through mid-semester OB test, but there's still final exams...
Business Stats tomorrow. I'm counting on it to get an A. It's actually not that difficult to do well. I already did 3 mock tests, and they are alright to do. So, I think there should be no major problem, unless they are out to kill...
